Just my day to day ramblings!
Andrew, Greg and I all have our new iPhone 4s!! Finally!
“The e? But that’s the button for the Internet!”
Let the kitten into our bedroom for the first time. He explored under bed for ages then attacked duvet. Hope he grows more cuddly with time!
And now he is going for the heart as he mews outside bedroom door. So cute! He waits there while we’re at work, expecting us to come out. ?
Ran out of batteries for my Magic Mouse. Switching to any other mouse is horrible – keep trying to stroke it to scroll down 🙂
So the NHS is being restructured, police cut, BBC license fee being cut. By the end of the 5 years we won’t have any public services left!
Lots of football talk today (new client) I felt like saying “Did you see that ludicrous display last night?” #itcrowd
Trying out Tesco DVD (well, Blu-ray & games) rental. Cheaper than LoveFilm & looks like they use the same service!
Sky Movies hardly ever show anything I want to see. Gonna cancel it. Yay for renting Blu-ray!
It is a profound irony to see religious people praising themselves for their humility while essentially making claims about cosmology, and physics, and astronomy, and geology, and biology, and paleontology, and just dozens of specific sciences that no scientist could make. Every religious person who takes the Genesis account of creation seriously… is essentially saying to somebody like Stephen Hawking, ‘Stephen, you’re a smart guy, and I see you’ve got a lot of equations over there, but you don’t know enough about cosmology, because God did this in six days and He rested on the seventh.’
This is my new friend, Mike Wazowski
Our kitten is settling in nicely now, he is very brave and very playful, no accidents! And he’s so cute!
Andrew and I are going to be ushers at my sister’s wedding! Will have to learn everybody’s names!? Or just ask “Bride or Groom?”.
The £105m website
Trust the government to give a job like this to BT, and give them a blank cheque to do what they want with it.
In our company, if we produced a website like Business Link – and all of us worked full time on the project, even hiring some extra staff to work on research, and content provision, not only would we make a much more attractive and easy to use site than the current Business Link website, but it would cost a fraction of the price. Literally. Like less than 0.1%.
The Government should give their contracts to small businesses and get real value for money.
Communicating in 140 characters may sometimes have its benefits (brevity) but I hate it when I have to use “text speak” to fit it all in!
