I almost posted a snarky comment on a friend’s facebook, in reply to something ridiculous they wrote, but I resisted. I must be going soft.

Just my day to day ramblings!
The Apprentice USA just pales in comparison to the BBC version. It is embarrassingly amateurish.
26,703 words. Exceeded my own expectations – not only have I caught up on lost time, but have passed the halfway point! #NaNoWriMo
New Doctor Who tonight!! So exciting.
Not done as much writing as I hoped to do—I fully blame David Tennant for being on TV at the time! #NaNoWriMo
Spent the afternoon/evening @ Ikea and Lakeside. Got a Magic Mouse yay! Tried it at the Apple store—love it! Such minimalist packaging too.
Lots of fireworks going off around London. Didn’t they Remember Remember it was the 5th of November, not the 7th?
Word count growing. I’m almost at 10,000! Need a side-story though because the plot is moving too fast… ideas? #NaNoWriMo
I’m now officially very behind (2 days, ~3000 words) on my book, so will have to catch up this weekend #NaNoWriMo
If you haven’t seen it, watch ‘V for Vendetta’ one of my all-time favourite films, and is about the 5th of November.
Remember, Remember the 5th of November—The Gun powder, Treason and Plot. I know of no reason why the gun powder treason should ever be forgot
6,686 words so far, & my story is going in new directions I never imagined. A couple of chapters will be genre-defying. Loving it #NaNoWriMo
Ok so some other stuff came up and my #NaNoWriMo word count remains the same. It’s not failure—just a chance to do twice as much tomorrow!
Art for art’s sake does wonderful things to you. It makes you laugh. It makes you cry. It makes you want to take naps and go places wearing funny pants. Doing something just for the hell of it is a wonderful antidote to all the chores and “must-dos” of daily life. Writing a novel in a month is both exhilarating and stupid, and we would all do well to invite a little more spontaneous stupidity into our lives.
From the NaNoWriMo FAQ. I cannot think of a more wonderful reason to write a novel!
I am both anxious and excited at the idea of finishing the book. Two days in and I am worrying if I will have the time, or if RSI will get me. But I am having a blast doing it and really that is all that matters.
1300 words later and I’m thinking of changing the plot for my NaNoWriMo novel! Oh well at least I wasn’t further in.
Watched Serenity. I think you really had to have seen Firefly to appreciate it’s awesomeness. So sad that it is all over now!
Today we made muesli which was delicious, and I’m getting into politics again as I series link BBC Question Time.
Working from home today, looking after the boys on their half term. I wonder how many distractions there will be!
I just got a new batch of Google Wave invites!
“Up” was fantastic, touching and very funny!
