Lem flips out when his mother, a brilliant scientist who has always intimidated him, comes to visit and begins an affair with Dr. Bhamba. Meanwhile, Ted gets miffed when Linda suddenly gets all the credit after she makes a suggestion to improve on his prize project, a light bulb that burns forever.
Show: Better Off Ted
Ted, a successful but morally conscious man, runs a research and development department at a morally questionable corporation, Veridian Technologies. No achievement is too far fetched and no invention too unorthodox for Veridian. Ted loves his seemingly perfect job; he loves his superhuman boss, Veronica, and colleagues Lem, Phil and Linda, but he's starting to take a closer look at the company's extremely questionable practices… especially when they try to cryogenically freeze one of Ted's scientists for testing purposes.
Bioshuffle
When Veronica, Linda, and Ted end up having to share offices, tensions grow between them.
Racial Sensitivity
Ted discovers Veridian has a problem when their new motion detection system proves unable to recognize black people.
Heroes
Due to Phil’s after effects from the cryogenic experiment, Ted tries to get him to sign a waiver to protect Veridian from possible future litigation. Elsewhere, Phil and Lem try to create beef despite having no meat in the lab.
Beating a Dead Workforce
After an employee literally drops dead in the midst of Veridian’s big push to finish a major project — a machine that ironically will get people to sleep — Veronica tries to use the incident as inspiration to make the staff work even harder.
